EFC Industry Conference Edition | May 30, 2025

This week, Niagara Falls, Ontario set the stage for an extraordinary event: EFC’s Annual Industry Conference – Electrifying Connections. This year’s conference was a particularly special celebration, marking EFC’s 30th Anniversary. More than 700 members—including industry leaders, past board chairs, and association partners—came together to honour and reflect on three decades of innovation and collaboration.

Honouring Excellence in Our Industry

As part of the conference, EFC proudly recognized outstanding individuals and organizations whose leadership and contributions are shaping the future of our industry. Please join us in congratulating this year’s Industry Awards Honourees:

  • Distributor: Rexel Canada
  • Manufacturer: Leviton Canada

CEMRA Person of the Year:

  • Steve Wheeler, Munden Enterprises

Industry Recognition Award:

  • Bob Branscombe, Independent Electric Supply

Welcoming New Leadership

This year’s Annual General Meeting, held during the conference plenary, marked an important leadership transition for EFC. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Umesh Patel, Mattr, who concluded his term as Chair of the Board of Directors. We are grateful for his exceptional leadership and dedication this past year.

We are pleased to welcome Luc Rodier, Guillevin, as the incoming Chair for the 2025–2026 term. Luc brings a strong vision for continued growth and collaboration within our industry.

Leadership changes were also announced within the National Advisory Council (NAC). Our sincere appreciation goes to Kim Quelch, Dainolite, for her impactful leadership over the past year. We now welcome Greg Gare, Electrozad, as the new NAC Chair, and we look forward to the Council’s continued progress under his guidance.

Stay tuned for the June 6 edition of InfoElectro, where we’ll share a full recap of the conference, including a highlight video, photo gallery, and key moments from this milestone celebration, including CEMRA Leadership Chair exchange, and new Vice Chair announcement.

Finally, a special thank you to our generous sponsors for powering the success of EFC’s 2025 Industry Conference and helping make our 30th Anniversary celebration truly unforgettable.
